my opinion on Kdramas and recommendations and also where I’ve seen them
Hello, and Welcome.
So I’m on Netflix and finished a k-drama/KD (Korean drama) called:
Man To Man
Netflix finally posted this drama and I have been half waiting for it, I mean I started to watch it somewhere else but I clarified that that particular website was not safe for my baby (laptop). So I waited like I was supposed to and so I binge finish the rest of the drama.
Now, I love me some Park Hae-Jin. I have been loving him since a “Far Away Love” that was a Chinese and Korean co-production back in early 2016. I mainly feel that he is one of thee best actors in the game (k drama industry), and he’s pretty sexy.
It’s my first time watching the leading lady Kim Min-Jung, and based on what I’ve seen of her in this drama, I would like to see more of her in a variety of roles, she has that look (meaning she can play any role from good to bad, cool to nerdy). And this is my second time watching Park Sung-Woong. I’ve seen him on the k-movie “For the Emperor”(that’s good as well also on Netflix) and that is a serious toned show as well so its interesting to see him be silly in this drama. The drama entirely I would rate it on three scales;
+ Scale one: the romance
+ Scale two: the story
+ Scale three: the ending
Scale one – 5 /10
This drama is good and worth a watch, but if you are looking for a romance drama (like based only on the romance of two parties involved, this is not the drama for you.) But if you looking at this/will because of Park Hae Jin (like me!) Then by all means continue. The romance is there but its like a side dish to the main course (story-line). You might get annoyed at times (like me!) Because also “like me”, I love romance, I’m a proud hopeless romantic, and I need to witness more love being established, the kissing and hug scenes, those cute caring moments, yassss! (Lol) But as you get into the story you won’t mind as much because the story line was intense.
Scale two – 9/10
Now, the bases of the drama is good. So basically the story is about an agent for the nation doing all he can to stop the evil doers. Basically. I hope i didn’t make it sound lame with my summary (haha). Here’s Netflix introduction of the drama: “For an Elite Agent, this mission is just one of many. But, even so, he’s got a bad feeling about this one.” (much better Netflix, thank you) so you’ll get see that undercover action if that’s what you’re into like me. and that good ole corporate crime and corruption in the nation that needs to be stumped out. that’s always fun to get tangled in. Like i mention before, the story is intense. Its a “serious” toned drama if you know what I mean. Its seriously based with some funny comic reliefs and they are funny. It has a bit of romance and also a bit of bromance. I honestly heart bromances, (I realized only recently quite a few don’t) but don’t worry its like the romance “faint” aka meaning its there just for a short while. It just shows the bond between the leads.
Scale three – 7/10
Now the ending. Recently I’ve been reading comments on other sns(social networking sites) about how much the ending was not to they’re liking. Let me just say the ending was not a usually k drama ending. I don’t want to spoil the type of ending with specifics. Just think of your fave or typical cliche k drama ending and think differently. I have no problem with the ending, if you pay attention throughout the course of the show you’ll honestly expect an ending like that. I was like not even shocked or overly disappointed. I was like well that’s that. So overall I like the drama.
Would I watch it again? Probably not any time soon, so I mean like when I get married and start a family and my children are going to high school, then yea maybe I’ll turn it on if Netflix will still show it on there network, well they might, they declared it an Netflix Original so I’ll see. With me, I’m mainly about watching k-dramas for the romance and that’s why I don’t plan on picking this up for a second time, but if you haven’t for the first time, you should (like me!) pick it up once. Change up your current watch-list a bit. Its actually quite fun to do so and its refreshing.
Lastly, I like to give a SHOUT-OUT to everybody that took part in this good drama. From the cast to the behind the scene’s crew. Everyone of them did amazing.
So thanks for reading my blog and comment below if you’re interested in the drama and have questions or if you already started this, how do you like it so far.
Remember, I’ve seen this on Netflix.
